Pinus pinea

The typical Mediterranean pine with a tight umbrella-shaped top and strong trunk. With dark green needles and shiny brown cones. Its seeds are edible. This plant has proven its worth in Germany, especially in regions with mild winters. The decorative umbrella shape needs lots of space after 3 to 4 decades. Best is an open location where its shape can show.
